Pelican's Predator Evolves

Pelican's Predator II Wireless Controller for the PS2!
Th
e Predator II Wireless Controller

Over the years, many have tried to make the ideal wireless controller for the PS2. Infrared systems were OK, but could be interrupted too easily: very frustrating. 900 MHz models were better, but still not entirely reliable and some experienced lag time. Just when PS2 owners' hopes were about to wither on the vine, along came the Predator Wireless from Pelican and broke our bonds. Using state of the art RF (radio frequency) technology and an improved button layout, the Predator promised and delivered a new era in gaming freedom. Now they are out to top themselves with the introduction of the Predator II, Pelican's new wireless controller for the PS2 that promises greater range and even easier connectivity.

But how does it measure up? Like Wilt the Stilt. Just like we've seen in the original, the Predator II's RF system delivers simply incredible range. With it's new and improved 2.4 GHz transmitter, the Predator II had no problems penetrating the neighbor's house and seventy-five feet of lawn and trees to deliver perfect reception to our PS2… way impressive. The combination of a new L2 and R2 button layout also makes the Predator II one of the most comfortable and intuitive controllers on the market.

Another bonus is Pelican's Channel Auto-Hopping Technology. Not only does it pick up the Predator's sixteen channel RF signal, but it does it automatically. No more fumbling with switches to find the right frequency. With a battery life of about 200 hours with the rumble off (120 hours with it on), the Predator is also not a big eater when it comes to batteries.

Bottom line is that the Predator II is an improvement over an already terrific controller. The consideration and ingenuity that went into designing the Predator series is beyond remarkable. For about forty dollars you get the Predator II Wireless and one receiver. Pick one up just about anywhere games are sold or one of the retailers listed at www.PelicanPerformance.com.
