Innovation's
X-Connection Bridges the Gap Between the Playstation and X Box The X Box has some of the best multiplayer games out there; it's a shame that in order to play them you have to spring for extra controllers. Especially when you have perfectly good Playstation controllers lying about. Hey, wouldn't it be great if you could just pop the ol' Dual Shock in the X-Box and pick up where you left off? That's what the brain trust at Innovation thinks too, so here they come with the X-Connection, the first (and only) adapter that lets you use PSX, PSOne, and PS2 controllers on the X Box system. How do you use it? Plug your Playstation controller in one end and the other into any X-Box control port. Does it work? Yes, and damn well too. Not only is the Playstation's controllers easier to handle (by most opinions) they are a far sight cheaper than the X Box's. The buttons and controls translate very well, the two extra action buttons on the X Box controller are shifted to the left shoulder buttons on the Playstation's. Even vibration functions transfer over. The only drawback is that some third party Playstation controllers don't work (not all use the same programming). In a world of
third party gaming fluff and gimmicks, the X-Connection is simply a brilliant
idea that works. It is the ideal solution to your extra X Box controller
needs. For about twenty-five bucks you can get one where games are sold,
or GameStop.com
will send one to your house.
