Lofty
Goals
Every golfer has been there. You're inside of fifty yards to the pin and you have a decision to make: do you take a full cut with your sand or lob wedge and risk flying the green or do you take the dreaded half-swing and risk dribbling it, skulling it, topping it, toeing it, shanking it or missing the ball completely. The half-swing is a nightmare that gives even the pros fits. You loose a lot of control when you break the rhythm of a full, confident swing in order to only advance the ball a few yards. If only there was some way that you could take a full cut so close to the flag. Well fret the flop shot no longer, because those crafty clubmakers at Feel Golf have you covered with The 73, a seventy-three degree wedge designed to eliminate half-swings. The big idea: by using a wedge with so much loft, you can take a full swing and still retain control over short distances ranging from three feet to fifty yards. But how can you use the same swing to move the ball accurately over such a varied range of distances? The secret is in the ball placement. Set the ball further back for greater distance and more to the front for closer shots, then use your full swing to advance it accordingly. As much as I'd love to tell you that The 73 is an instant fix for short approach shots, there is a learning curve involved. It takes a bit of tinkering and trial and error before you find comfortable ball placements for the various distances, and unfortunately there is no single magic formula that will work for each and every golfer. However, once you do get some practice with it, you'll find that The 73 is absolutely the only way to go when approaching the green from up close. It's a great concept that works well once you learn to apply it properly. The 73 comes standard with Feel's trademark Full Release Grip. The Full Release Grip uses Taper Tip Technology that allows the left hand portion of the grip to be carried loosely in the fingers due to the much smaller grip diameter in the left hand. The right hand also uses a more relaxed grip due to the Release's larger diameter at the bottom of the grip as compared with traditional grips. The grip fits comfortably and naturally in one's hands, thereby reducing the hand and wrist tension and increasing club control. They take a little getting use to, but after about two holes, you'll never want to use a traditional grip again. Bottom line is if you are looking for a wedge that
will take the stress out of that fifty yard no-man's land around the pin,
then The 73 from Feel Golf was make for you. It also makes an ideal gift
for that special flopper in your life. For about one hundred thirty dollars,
you can find one wherever golf clubs are sold or online at www.FeelWedges.com.
