Clean
Freak Let's face it, sweeping is no fun. Dragging the broom around gets tedious, it's hard to get under furniture, and then there's the dustpan. As a final humiliation, you get to wrestle with it and the broom to pick up the filthy remains of an unpleasant task. And it never gets all of the dirt on the first try; there's always a line of dust left under the lip, so you have to keep scooting the pan back and chasing that strip of gray powder until you finally give up and spread it out across the floor. But what can you do? You can go out and grab Black and Decker's new Sweep and Collect broom and electric dustpan. The big idea: Rotating bristles in the broom head collect the dust pile when you're done sweeping - no more bending over and chasing dirt with the pan. Surely there's more to it than that? Nope just sweep up a pile of dirt, hit the release button on the top of the handle and run the Sweep and Collect over the mound. The motorized rotating bristle bar neatly brushes the debris into the broom's collector tray. When the tray gets full, simply pop it out of the broom and dump it in the trash. We won't go so far as to say that it makes sweeping fun, but the Sweep and Collect really does make it seem like less of a chore. The motor runs off of four AA batteries (included) and since you only use it for seconds at a time, should last for several months. Black and Decker also stands behind its construction with a full two year warranty. Black and Decker's Sweep and Collect is one of those
rare great ideas that actually works as well or better than expected.
It also makes an ideal gift for that special sweeper in your life. For
about thirty dollars you can pick one up wherever tools are sold or from
one of the dealers listed at www.BlackandDecker.com.
